Birdie had a pretty rough start in life!

Just a pup, Birdie, had been hit by a car, she was alive but seriously injured. Some kids came to her rescue and brought her into the nearest veterinary clinic they could find. The injury to her back leg was so severe that it had to be amputated. In the meantime, Birdie captured the hearts of everyone in the clinic. One of her caregivers was especially taken with her and wanted to see her through the surgery and forever after! WAAG was able to contribute a small donation to offset the surgery expense.

We are happy to report that Birdie has mastered maneuvering on 3 legs better than her counterparts with 4!

Lost and Found

The WAAG Facebook page is a great source for those who’ve LOST a pet, and those who’ve FOUND pets. Our WAAG followers really DO keep an eye out when a Lost Pet alert is posted to our Facebook page! We’ve had several successful “reunions” just this past month! To those of you who have FOUND pets . . . thank you for taking the time to post on our Facebook page, taking them in, keeping them safe and even fostering for a while. We appreciate all the kindness our community has to offer!
