Board of Directors Transitions

Dear WAAG Community,

It is both with gratitude and excitement that we share news of transitions within our Board of Directors. As some dedicated members bid farewell, we welcome new faces ready to shape the next chapter of our journey.

👋 Farewell to Rebecca Wallner-Hompe, our President. We appreciate all of your hard work that went into this organization. Thank you for your dedication to WAAG, and best wishes on your future endeavors!

👋 A heartfelt goodbye to Anita Orchin, our Treasurer & Secretary. Your tireless efforts have set a high standard for future board members. Thank you for your outstanding contributions!

✨ As we bid adieu, we extend a warm welcome to Amy Coleman as our new Secretary. Amy is eager to take our Foster Program to the next level and has already hit the ground running. Her experience in project and program management make us eager for the changes she’ll bring to the organization.

✨ Join us in welcoming Virginia Martin as our new Treasurer! Her vast experience, knowledge and education are a huge asset to our organization. She is looking forward to supporting the incredible work WAAG is already doing and expanding our reach in the community.

🎉 A round of applause for Wendy Edwards who has taken over as President and for Jenny Martin who was voted in as our new Vice President. Wendy will continue to be the face of our Food Pantry program, and you’ll continue to see Jenny around town trapping cats for our TNR program.

Please help us extend a warm welcome to our new board members and express heartfelt gratitude to those stepping down. The 2024 WAAG Board of Directors are looking forward to a future filled with continued growth, innovation, and community building!
